Diarmaid, Deirdre and Donncha Moynihan are widely considered to be three of Ireland’s leading traditional musicians. Their recent release Black Brook has received excellent critical acclaim with a 5 Star Irish Times review describing the album as "A remarkable collection.....three musicians reaching skywards on one of the albums of the year.”
The Moynihan Family is well known on the Irish and international musical scene and their range of musical styles encompasses classical, traditional and contemporary music. They have performed in prestigious venues around the world and have recorded extensively, both individually and collaboratively across the musical genres. Recent concerts for Moynihan have included Armagh Piping festival, Ennis Trad Festival, Culture Night (Westport) in Ireland and international dates include a highly-successful 22-date tour of Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany in Nov/Dec 2022. The trio were subsequently invited to return to Vienna in February 2023 to perform in the Mozart Saal of the prestigious Vienna Konzerthaus. Moynihan have a busy concert schedule ahead in 2023/2024 with further festivals and concerts in Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria.
